To welcome this auspicious year, Hotel Royal Macau is featuring two indulgent menus at its Shanghainese restaurant Catalpa Garden, namely “Shanghainese Treasure Pot (Poon Choi)” and “Chinese New Year Set Menus” from 21 January through 2 March 2018!

 

Shanghainese Treasure Pot

Ideal as gifts or as the centerpiece for family gatherings, “Poon Choi” is almost a must in all Chinese New Year feast which symbolizes abundance and fortune. In addition to the typical components of Cantonese Poon Choi, Catalpa Garden’s “Shanghainese Treasure Pot” adds in an assortment of signature Shanghainese ingredients. In one single pot, you will also find layers of delicacies including deluxe whole Abalone, Sea Cucumber, Fish Maw, Dried Conpoy, Smoked Fish, Beef Shank, Pork Knuckle, Egg Dumplings, Duck Tongue, Shrimps, Mushroom and many more, served along with the sauce braised over hours. It is definitely a mouth-watering dish for everyone!

 

Dine in or take out available. Priced at MOP 1,398 for 6 pax / MOP 2,388 for 12 pax (subject to 10% service charge for dine in).

 

Chinese New Year Set Menus

Let’s celebrate this traditional occasion with a fabulous “Chinese New Year Set Menu”! Four set menus showcase the Shanghainese favourites exquisitely made with high quality ingredients. These include Braised Fish Maw with Jinhua Ham and Chicken, Braised Shark’s Fin with Chicken in Casserole, Marinated Chicken and Shrimp with Huadiao Wine, Sliced Jinhua Ham Steamed in Honey Sauce, Deep Fried Sweet and Sour Mandarin Fish with Pine Nut, Steamed Hilsa Herring, Fried Prawn with Spicy Sauce, Steamed Shanghai Minced Pork Dumplings, Steamed Black Glutinous Rice Stuffed with Mashed Red Bean, etc. A complimentary Fresh Fruit Platter will be offered for each set. Priced at MOP 1,500 for 4 pax / MOP 2,300 for 6 pax / MOP 2,980 for 8 pax / MOP 3,800 for parties of 10. (subject to 10% service charge)
