Chinese New Year Set Menus

Feast your way to a great Year of the Tiger with your beloved! From now through February 16, 2022 at Catalpa Garden, guests can indulge and celebrate with four different set menus of authentic Shanghainese favourites, such as popular appetizers Smoked Fish, Marinated Chicken with Huadiao Wine and Pork Knuckle with Huadiao Wine, followed by some delicious hot dishes like Deep Fried Sweet and Sour Mandarin Fish with Pine Nut, Stir Fried Rice Cake with Shredded Pork and Cabbage in Soy Sauce “Shanghai Style”, Braised Fish Maw with Jinhua Ham and Chicken, and Dry Braised Prawn with Brown Sauce. To wrap up this festive meal, guests can also enjoy the heart-warming Steamed Shanghai Minced Pork Dumplings or Rice Ball Dumplings Stued with Mashed Black Sesame and Mashed Red Bean in Sweet Rice Wine Soup.

There are four Chinese New Year Set Menus for guests to choose. “Joy Set” (MOP1,500), “Fortune Set” (MOP2,200), “Prosperity Set” (MOP2,880) and “Golden Set” (MOP3,680) (All prices are subject to 10% service charge).

Shanghainese Treasure Pot (Poon Choi)

Ideal as gifts or the centerpiece for family reunion, “Poon Choi” is almost a must in all spring festival feasts which symbolizes abundance and fortune. In addition to the typical components of Cantonese Poon Choi, Catalpa Garden’s signature “Shanghainese Treasure Pot” also includes a wealth of signature Shanghainese ingredients that brings the taste to another level. In one single pot, you will find 18 premium ingredients including Deluxe Whole Abalone, Sea Cucumber, Fish Maw, Dried Conpoy, Smoked Fish, Beef Shank, Pork Knuckle, Duck Tongue, Shrimps, Mushrooms and many more, served along with the sauce braised over hours. It is definitely a mouth-watering dish for everyone!
